Description

Victoria Carpets Sonning Ashwood Wool Carpet

Ashwood is the grey-brown Sonning colour, sitting between a cool grey and a warmer taupe-style neutral. It is a useful middle ground for homes where straight grey feels too cold, but beige feels too soft.

This Victoria Carpets Sonning Ashwood wool carpet is made from 100% NZ wool in a level loop construction. The level loop construction gives Ashwood a grounded, textured look that works especially well with timber furniture, stone, black hardware, warm whites and mixed neutral interiors.

Grey-brown sweet spot: Ashwood is a good bridge colour when the room has both warm and cool finishes. It can connect timber furniture with grey tiles, stone benches or black accents better than a pure beige carpet.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ashwood grey or brown?

Ashwood is best described as grey-brown. It sits between the cooler greys and the warmer brown Sonning colours.

When would Ashwood work better than Warren?

Choose Ashwood if the room has timber, beige stone, warmer walls or brown furniture. Warren is better when the whole room leans cool grey.

Does Ashwood suit black accents?

Yes. Ashwood can work well with black handles, black frames and darker furniture because it still has enough grey in the colour.

Is Ashwood too dark for bedrooms?

Not generally. It gives more depth than the pale Sonning colours but should still feel softer than a very dark carpet.

What is the carpet construction?

Sonning Ashwood is a 100% NZ Wool level loop carpet.
