The Cromford SwitchMix shower / wall mixer complete kit in Matte Black includes both the concealed rough-in body and the visible Cromford fit-off, making it the full SwitchMix package for a new shower or bath mixer installation.
Matte Black pulls Cromford toward the industrial-farmhouse side of the collection. The dark finish makes the stepped collars, round forms and lever details more graphic, particularly against white basins, pale tile, concrete-look surfaces and lighter timber. The system keeps the heritage-influenced Cromford look on the finished wall while the SwitchMix body provides a more flexible approach behind it.
A Farmhouse Mixer Without Committing the Wall Forever
The complete kit is the sensible starting point when the wall is open and no SwitchMix body is already installed. The rough-in is concealed during plumbing, then the Cromford trim is fitted after the wall is finished. If tastes change later, the SwitchMix format provides a cleaner route to compatible fit-off changes than a conventional one-piece wall mixer arrangement.
What Is Included
This is the complete version: the in-wall SwitchMix rough-in body and the visible Cromford fit-off are supplied together. The circular Cromford backplate is approximately 80mm in diameter, with the lever extending about 74mm below the mixer centreline.

Installation & Planning
The rough-in body is installed while the wall is open and must be positioned in accordance with the installation requirements before waterproofing and tiling. The Cromford fit-off is then installed after the finished wall surface is complete.

Does this complete kit include the in-wall body?
Yes. Unlike the fit-off-only SKU, this complete kit includes both the SwitchMix rough-in body and the visible Cromford fit-off components.
When should I choose the complete kit instead of the fit-off kit?
Choose the complete kit when no compatible SwitchMix rough-in body is already installed. The fit-off-only product is for projects that already have the correct in-wall body.
Can I change the visible mixer later without replacing the in-wall body?
The SwitchMix system is designed to accept compatible Phoenix SwitchMix fit-off collections, allowing the visible design or finish to be changed while the correct body remains behind the wall.
Does Matte Black make Cromford look more industrial than farmhouse?
It can. Matte Black gives the range a stronger industrial edge, but the same Cromford shape still works in a farmhouse bathroom when it is balanced with timber, white ceramics, softer textiles and warmer surrounding finishes.
