Is 800mm better than the standard 600mm rail?
If you use large bath sheets, yes. Standard 600mm rails usually require you to fold them, which slows down drying. This 800mm rail allows the towel to hang flat, which is much more hygienic and efficient.
Will the Matte Black finish peel or scratch?
