Dunlop Refibre 9 is a commercial carpet underlay manufactured from recycled cotton textile and designed for demanding carpet installations. At 9mm thick, it is recommended for Axminster carpet and high-traffic environments including educational facilities, restaurants, bars and public spaces.
Each 1m length measures approximately 1.8m wide × 1m long and provides 1.8m² of coverage, making it straightforward to calculate the amount required for the area being carpeted.

Installation & Planning ⌄
- Install Refibre 9 with the black scrim side facing upwards.
- Underlay joins should be tightly butted together.
- Secure joins using quality joining tape at least 50mm wide.
- A smooth-edge or carpet-gripper system should be used for conventional and dual-bond installations.
- On timber floors, secure the underlay to prevent movement.
- For dual-bond installations, use an adhesive suitable for the underlay, subfloor and carpet system.
