Description
Montana Grey hall runner for hallways, kitchens and entry paths
The Montana Grey rubber backed hall runner is a cut-to-length runner for hallways, kitchens, laundries, entries and narrow walkways. It has a similar practical feel to the Cheops runner range, but with a different grey pattern for customers who want a softer, more neutral look.
The 67cm width suits standard hallway spaces and long hard-floor areas where a wider rug can feel too bulky. It is made from polypropylene in a loop finish, with a rubber backing that helps it sit neatly on tiles, vinyl and floorboards in everyday household spaces.
Key features
- Grey 67cm wide hallway runner for narrow halls, kitchens, laundries and entries
- Polypropylene loop finish for a practical, easy-care surface
- Rubber backed design for use on tiles, vinyl and floorboards
- Sold by the metre, with the online price based on 100cm long x 67cm wide
- Can be cut to custom lengths from the 67cm wide runner roll
- Optional overlocking available if you want both cut ends sewn and finished neatly
Where it works best
- Hallways - Adds a softer walking strip through long, narrow spaces.
- Kitchens - Works along benches, island runs and galley-style kitchen floors.
- Laundries - A practical runner for hard floor areas that need a little extra comfort.
- Entries - Helps create a more finished look near front doors and side entries.
- Neutral interiors - The grey pattern is easy to work around timber, tile, vinyl and laminate flooring.

Ordering and overlocking
This runner is sold online in 100cm length increments. For example, quantity 3 gives you a runner approximately 3 metres long x 67cm wide. Custom lengths between metre marks can be arranged manually by email or phone.
Because the runner is cut from a roll, overlocking is recommended if you want the two ends sewn and finished neatly. You can add this service here: overlocking both ends not exceeding 1 metre.
Overlocked runners are sent to our machinist on Thursdays and returned to us the following Thursday, ready for dispatch or pickup. Depending on when you place the order, allow around a week or so for the overlocking service to be completed. If you do not need overlocking, the runner can usually be dispatched sooner.

Frequently asked questions
What does the online quantity mean?
The price is based on 100cm long x 67cm wide. If you order quantity 4, the runner will be cut to approximately 4 metres long x 67cm wide.
Can I order a custom length like 6.25m or 7.5m?
Yes. Full metre lengths can be ordered online, but custom lengths between metre marks need to be arranged manually. Contact floorcoverings@swanstreet.com.au or call (03) 9428 1746 and ask for John.
Do I need to add overlocking?
Overlocking is optional. It is the better choice if you want both cut ends sewn for a neater finished edge.
Is this the same as the Cheops runner?
No. Montana is a different runner with a different pattern and colouring, but it has a similar practical material feel, 67cm width, polypropylene loop finish and rubber backed construction.
Is this suitable for tiles, vinyl or floorboards?
Yes, the rubber backing makes it a practical option for many tiled, vinyl and floorboard areas. On delicate, polished or freshly coated floors, check suitability first to avoid marking or reaction with the floor finish.
