Description

Hycraft Pebble Grid Gypsum Wool Carpet

Gypsum is a soft grey-neutral from the Hycraft Pebble Grid range by Godfrey Hirst. This Hycraft Pebble Grid Gypsum wool carpet uses 100% wool yarn in a level loop construction, giving the floor a neat geometric texture without the heavier look of a bold patterned carpet.

It is a useful colour when you want a lighter floor, but not a creamy or beige one. Gypsum works well with pale timber, white walls, stone finishes, soft greys, brushed metal, black accents and clean contemporary furniture.

Colour note: Gypsum is a lighter grey-neutral. It can look cooler beside white walls and warmer beside oak, linen and stone, so it is worth checking the colour in the actual room light.

Frequently asked questions

When would Gypsum make more sense than a warmer neutral carpet?

Gypsum is the better direction when the room already has white walls, stone, soft grey, brushed metal or pale timber. It keeps the floor light without pushing the room into cream or beige.

Will the grid texture look too busy in a small room?

The texture is controlled and low-contrast, so it adds structure without reading like a bold pattern. It is a good option when a plain carpet feels too flat but a strong pattern would be too much.

Does Gypsum work with black accents?

Yes. Gypsum can work very well with black door hardware, black bed frames, black desk legs and darker furniture because the floor stays light while the accents give the room definition.

Is Gypsum too light for a hallway?

That depends on the home. Lighter carpet colours can show marks sooner in busy walkways, so for hallways it is worth comparing Gypsum against Dolomite, Shale or Bauxite before deciding.

How does Gypsum compare with Dolomite?

Gypsum is the lighter, softer grey-neutral. Dolomite gives a slightly deeper floor tone while still staying in the pale neutral family.
