Description

Hycraft Pebble Grid Calcite Wool Carpet

Calcite is the pale mineral neutral in the Hycraft Pebble Grid range by Godfrey Hirst. This Hycraft Pebble Grid Calcite wool carpet uses 100% wool yarn in a level loop construction, giving the floor a crisp, ordered texture without the shaded nap of a plush carpet.

This is the Pebble Grid colour to look at when the room needs to stay light, fresh and quietly structured. Calcite works especially well with white walls, pale oak, stone, soft grey, linen, brushed metal and simple contemporary furniture.

Light colour note: Calcite is a pale carpet colour, so it is worth checking it against your wall colour, timber tone and natural light before locking it in for busy rooms or hallways.

Frequently asked questions

When does Calcite work better than a darker grey carpet?

Calcite is the better direction when the room needs to stay open and bright. It gives the floor texture without creating the stronger base you get from Shale, Bauxite or Basalt.

Will Calcite feel too plain in a minimal room?

No. The squared level loop texture gives the floor some structure, so it does not read as a flat blank surface even in simple rooms.

Is Calcite a good match for pale timber?

Yes. Calcite works well with pale oak, ash, blonde timber and light neutral furniture, especially when the walls are white or soft grey.

Should I use Calcite in a busy hallway?

For busy hallways, compare Calcite with Gypsum, Dolomite or Shale before deciding. Calcite is a lighter colour, so day-to-day marks may be more visible than on deeper tones.

How does Calcite compare with Sandstone?

Calcite is a paler mineral neutral, while Sandstone moves warmer and more natural. Sandstone is usually the better direction if the room needs more warmth.
